Cathedral Gorge Nevada State Park

Cathedral Gorge is a sensational area to explore. Along the Gorge are plethora of rock spires which extend up the gorge cliffs. Walking the gorge exposes canyons. The canyons often lead to alcoves where the spires tower over head conferring the feeling of a Cathedral. It is great fun for children who can run among the spires but they can not get lost since canyons are short and end in cul-de-sacs.  Cathedral Gorge is located north of the small town of Caliente, Nevada on US hwy 93. Part of the glory of traveling to Cathedral Gorge is viewing the geology along this scenic US 93. There are a series of mountain chains, lakes and canyons to observe. You can access US 93 from I15.
