Cowell Redwoods California State Park 

On the edge of Silicon Valley is an outstanding reserve of California redwood trees.   We lived not far from this outstanding park and visited it often.  There are level paved walks through the forest.   It is a great outing for parents to share with their children who will run through this protected area and are many signs that you can use as teaching tools so the next generation will appreciate the natural world.
