A Glen Canyon & Lake Powell
National Recreation Area
Glen Canyon National Recreation Area is best
know for Lake Powell
that has been formed behind the Glen Canyon Dam.
Many use this area for water sports and this is a
wonderful area to explore in a house boat. The
National Recreation Area is quite large extending along
the Colorado River. There are three easy access
points. The most used in via US 89 at Page
Arizona. The access from the north is from Utah
276 and a ferry is used to cross the lake. From the
south, US 89 crosses the river near Lee's Ferry.
