Oatman

Oatman is an historic mining community along Route 66. Route 66 was original road from Chicago to Los Angeles. Now, the streets of Oatman are shared with both pedestrians and wild (but tame) burros. The burros love carrots. (BRING your own CARROTS)  Oatman lies in the rugged hills of Arizona just east of the gambling city of Laughlin. The area's scenery is punctuated with beautiful sharp peaks. Oatman is located off of US 95 .  Take the road to Laughlin on Nevada Route 163. After crossing the Colorado River bridge, take Arizona Route 95 (not the same a US 95) to the Boundry Cone Rd (watch for the Oatman signs) for short scenic ride to Oatman.

There are many restaurants and shops in Oatman along with a ranch with horse back rides into the wild side of Oatman. We recommend the Olive Saloon for lunch. If you would like to stay in the area, we recommend that you return to Laughlin and staying at the Golden Nugget and enjoy a dinner at the Saltgrass steak house.
