 Pinnacles National Monument
East of
Monterey CA in the costal mountains is Pinnacles
National Monument. The pinnacles are what remain
of an ancient volcano which have left a collection of
spires and a rock climbing paradise. The monument
is also a home for the California Condors that soar for
hours overhead. One feature that you will need to
visit is the caves that have been formed by the rocks
that have tumbled many years ago. Most of the
better views of this monument are accessed from the
eastern entrance off US 25.
