Sedona

Sedona is a tourist Mecca. The city is surrounded by brilliantly red rock formations. It is an excellent location for those who desire a mix of upscale tourism and grandeur. Before exploring the area, stop into one of the Forest Service offices. They will show you where the best places are to visit along the many of well maintained dirt roads. To get to the Sedona, take I40 to Flagstaff AZ where it intersects I17. A short distance south on I17, you reach Arizona route 89A which will take you to Sedona.

Sedona is a full fledged resort with many hotels and restaurants. We often stay at a less expensive hotel in Oak Creek which is a short distance to Sedona. We recommend the Premiere Vacation Club at Bell Rock in Oak Creek. Sedona has many fine restaurants. We enjoy the Heartline Cafe in Sedona.
