Red Rock casino about 50 miles from the park |
| Name | Carol |
| Must See | The
valley of Fire is filled with wondrous red rock
structures. Some of the best places to see these
animal like rocks are in the camping area across from
the petrified wood display. Drive around the camping
site road. Also near the beehives is an arch that
is easily hiked to. While there, turn around and
look at the stone eagle high above on the rocks |
| Favorite Activity | Don't miss going to Mouse Tanks. Strange name but a short walk down a canyon will take you to a wall filled with petrographic. I enjoyed also driving through the park to part of Lake Mead and we drove back to Vegas on the Lake Mead Rd. |
| Restaurant Recommendation | Favorite restaurant at the Venetian is the Grand Lux. |
