Virgin River Canyon National Recreation Area

The Canyon straddles I15 between Mesquite NV and St George UT. It is located in a corner of Arizona as I15 passes from Nevada into Utah. The Virgin River has cut a deep canyon and left an exquisite sight for us to drive through. In the middle of the canyon is a camping area that is well worth exiting the freeway to see. Drive into the camping areas to view the river, unusual rock formations and the brilliant colors. Bring a snacks and water because there are no services in the Virgin River Canyon

Mesquite has many restaurants and NV Casinos. We recommend Casablanca Resort Casino which is a convenient place to rest for an evening was well as has good restaurants. Alternatively, you can stay in St George UT which has many fine hotels and dinning establishments.
