Wildlife of the Rockies

Viewing the wildlife is a favorite pastime for many park visitors . Since the animals are truly wild, their location is unpredictable.   However,  there are some places where a few species can usually be viewed.  Bison can often be found north of the fishing bridge in Yellowstone NP.  Bears are more numerous in eastern part of Glacier NP.  Elk often congregate at Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone NP.  Our staff reports finding the largest concentration in Canada's Jasper NP.   More @ North Rockies Tour
