Zion National Park

Zion will fill your eyes with the pink, red and cream cliffs that tower above. For millions of years, the Virgin river has carved breathtaking canyons. Some canyons are miles wide while others are tiny slots that you will need to squeeze through. Drive across the park on the road that burrows through the mountains with stunning scenery on both sides of an impressive tunnel. A park shuttle takes visitors up the major Zion Canyon. There are fabulous short hikes from many shuttle stops that will let you experience the park's vistas, streams, and water falls.  Zion is located off Interstate 15 north of St George.  From I15, use Utah route 9 to take you to Zion. Along the way is the little known, Kolob Rd in the town of Virgin that will allow you to view the Western part of the Park.

Zion Valley Live

There is a nice Lodge in Zion Canyon which has a restaurant and other services. Just west of the Zion entrance is an alternative in the town of Springdale. Springdale has many motels and restaurants. In many ways it is a tourist destination. Also, the Zion shuttle is available from the main avenue of Springdale.
